looking for…..
About 3 weeks ago I sent out a request looking for 3rd grade Language Arts curriculum to buy or borrow. A lady from Bluffton called me, whom I didn’t know, and said I could borrow her Rod and Staff and that she would drop it off at church. I just wanted to let her know I have been looking at the front desk and haven’t found it. I wasn’t sure if she changed her mind, forgot or somebody else may have picked it up by accident. She was supposed to put her name and phone number on it. If whom ever it was could contact me and let me know what is going on I would appreciate it so I will know if I have to look else where for curriculum. Thanks so much! Bev Barnett : )

| Kids Life classes filling up!
If you still need to register for classes for Kids Life, please note the following: 2nd Hour (11:00) 4th-6th STEM class is FULL. If you choose this option during registration, your child will be moved to another class during that time period. Apologia Studies from Around the World (4th -6th) is still available as an option. Classes are being filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. As we finalize the class sizes, I may need to call a few families to shift their kids to another class. If you don’t hear from me (Sue) personally before Kids Life starts, then you are in the classes you signed up for. This will help so that everyone knows what class to tell your kids to attend on the first day. Thanks for you understanding and cooperation as we try and keep the classes sizes at a fun and manageable size for the kids and all the teachers involved. Sue |

Does anyone know where I can get a large glass jug of apple cider?
Not terribly important, but I’m curious myself to see this experiment work 😉 and I’m sure my boys would enjoy it too. Thanks. Theresa |

Science courses
My name is Tracy Suchocki, and my husband and I are reaching out to tell you about our new site, Conceptual Academy, which offers high school science curriculum.
Conceptual Academy offers self-study courses in physics, chemistry, astronomy, and physical science based on the popular conceptual line of science textbooks, including Conceptual Physics, Conceptual Chemistry, and others. Each course includes video lessons, textbook reading assignments organized around a particular theme, unit exams, quizzes, worksheets, chapter summaries, and detailed guidance from the authors about the content. Nearly 500 of the site’s videos are offered free for those not needing a full self-study course. For more, visit http://conceptualacademy.com/self-study-courses
Conceptual Academy’s Chemistry self-study course was reviewed by Cathy Duffy, known for her rigorous assessments of homeschool curricula. Read the review here: http://cathyduffyreviews.com/science/conceptual-chemistry.htm
John Suchocki a long-time advocate of “student-centered” learning, also known as the flipped classroom model. The main idea of Conceptual Academy is that it encourages the student to articulate what they think they understand with their peers, under the guidance a parent or facilitator. With Conceptual Academy, students can enjoy high quality lectures at home, and then get together in groups to engage in projects and activities.
We are hopeful that you would be willing to check out Conceptual Academy and share this information with the homeschool families in your group as a helpful resource for high school students.
Thank you for this consideration. Please let us know what questions you may have.
Good chemistry!
