USPS lessons etc….

Dear Parents, Educators, Colleagues, and Friends,

October brings falling leaves, Hallowe’en and Superheroes! Check out the Up! Up! and Away! lesson plan at http://www.USPSConnection.com. Class discussion includes a history of the superhero genre, with activities that include conceiving and designing original superhero figures, and crafting an original comic strip. CCSS in ELA Literacy for grades 6 – 8 are specifically addressed in this creative and inspired lesson plan, with templates for characters and comic strips included.

The October classroom calendar includes beautiful stamp imagery to commemorate anniversaries in American history for every day of the week! And our monthly Stamp Scoop article celebrates Batman’s 75th birthday!

Enjoy!

CBCCA Meeting

I want to clarify that there is NO childcare provided for the CBCCA meetings; I apologize if I was unclear about that at the mandatory meeting. My intention was to see what the need was for childcare among the single moms and those with deployed husbands. IF there is a need, please email me and I will see if there are any teens willing to volunteer to come to your home.

Likewise if any teens or moms would like to volunteer their services, please let me know!

Thanks-Claudia

CBCCA Encouragement Meeting Reminder!

Yearbook Photos

Hello Everyone!
It’s time for individual photos for the current school year and Lisa O’Brien has agreed to help us out again.
This is for any and all homeschool children from K-12th grade whether they are a part of CBCCA or not.
Photo information:
Where: Community Bible Church, Room 117
When: Wednesday, Oct 8 and Oct 22
Time: 9:30 – Noon

If your child is a part of Kid’s Life you may come at 9:30, but we will be getting them out of their classes during the morning to get as many of them as we can for the yearbook class photos. We will do our best to make sure that they are not all sweaty and hot for their photo. 🙂

If you are not attending Women’s Life, please bring your kids to the church between 9:30 and Noon on those same dates so we can get them into their respective class photo for the yearbook this year.

You are NOT required to purchase any photos that are taken, but Lisa will have order forms available for those who would like to order a photo of their child/ren.

This is such a great opportunity for us to be able to have these photos taken and it is so fun to see how everyone has grown and changed over that past year.

Even if you are not purchasing a yearbook, we would still love to have your child’s photo in there. We were able to get all but 1 last year!

If you have any specific questions about the cost or packages that are offered you can contact Lisa directly with the information below.
Any other questions you can contact myself or Tracy Behrens.

Thanks!
