Southern Wesleyan University

I’m writing to tell you about Southern Wesleyan University and some excellent opportunities that we offer for high school students. Southern Wesleyan is a Christ-centered, student-focused university that challenges students to be dedicated scholars and servant-leaders who impact the world for Christ.  We are known for business, education, music, religion, criminal justice, and science programs, and we offer over forty majors with a variety of concentrations. We are an NCAA Division II athletic institution. Our small campus community with a 14:1 student-to-professor ratio means that your students will get the personalized, one-on-one educational support that they already benefit from through homeschooling.

High school juniors and seniors can now take up to 60 hours of credits through SWU, allowing them to receive an associate’s degree during high school! Courses are offered on-campus and/or online. These courses (most courses are 3 credit hours each) are offered at a 90% discount, which comes out to $100 per credit hour. We are also excited to announce our new Dual Enrollment Scholarship opportunity!  For every dual enrollment credit hour that a student completes through SWU, they will earn a $100 scholarship to be used when they enroll as a full time college student at SWUThat’s an amazing opportunity for up to $6,000 that could be earned and used later as a full time traditional student, in addition to other aid for which students would be eligible.  We invite you to read more about our dual enrollment program at www.swu.edu/dualenrollment.

We would value a personal partnership with you and your families to make these opportunities through SWU more widely available. I look forward to working with you to help achieve your family’s educational goals, and I would love to hear from you!

Thank you,

Melissa Vess
