Hello, everyone! My name is Jeanah Vernoy. On September 12, I will begin teaching a Spanish 1 class for high school students from 4 to 5:30 every Monday at Community Bible Church. With classes one day out of the week, please understand that your students will have to be diligent to keep up with their work during the week. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of this class will be the memorization required each week for vocabulary. As with any other academic endeavor, the student will reap the benefits proportionate to the amount of work he invests. I will be using Abeka’s Spanish curriculum called “Por Todo el Mundo.” There are two student books that they will need called Spanish 1A and Spanish 1B. In addition, you will need to acquire the Vocabulary Manual and the Student Test Book Spanish 1. I will not be able to administer the test to the students in class. As a result, I will let the students know when to take the next test at home under the parent’s supervision. At the next class, the students will bring their tests in for me to grade over that week so that I can return the graded tests at the following class. I will be charging $50 a month. I am excited to have the opportunity to help your students come to love Spanish as much as I do. My prayer is that they will be able to use what they learn to impact a Spanish-speaking person they know for the kingdom of God. If you are interested, please contact me at 843-441-6328.

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, ID cards will be made available for our CBCCA families. Below is a sample; we would create one for each parent and one for each student.

They would contain: grade, first name, last name, student (or educator). What we would need from you is nice high resolution head shot as shown in the examples. The picture needs to be a minimum of 600 x 600 pixels. Once the picture is sent to us we will create and print the card and arrange for you to pick it up.

We did not include your address for security reasons; however we can if you think it is necessary for discounts etc…..please let me know if we missed anything that needs to be on the card.

Beginner Russian/Ukrainian class for High School Students * begins on Monday, September 12th and will run through May, 2017.

Classes will be every Monday at CBC from 3:00-4:45 and will be taught by a native speaker.

Beginner French class for High School Students * begins  on Tuesday, September, 13th and will run through May, 2017.

Classes will be every Tuesday at CBC from 1:00-2:45.

The cost for either class  will be $50.00 per month, payable monthly.

*Students not in high school may be considered if space is available.

Everyone,

CBCCA now has a cross country team! It is not too late to join and you don’t even have to be a fast runner. Just be willing to come out and do your best.

While we have enough people to make up middle school boys and girls teams and a high school girls team, we are looking for some more boys to complete the high school team. Right now we have 7 high school meets planned beginning on August 27th and going through October 29th.
