Vector ARC (Assessment for Readiness for College)

Vector ARC has developed a standardized test to replace the SAT and/or ACT. This is an untimed test that is not aligned to Common Core. Because the test is in the beta testing phase, students have the opportunity to take this test free of charge. Any public, private, or homeschooled student who has previously take the SAT, ACT, or PSAT, or who is scheduled to take the SAT or ACT no later than the June testing, is invited to participate. Siblings who have not already taken one of these tests may also participate as long as one member of the family who is testing has a current SAT, ACT, or PSAT score. The students’ previous test scores will need to be provided to the test administrators for the purposes of validating the results of the study. No data will be shared with any third-party databases or federal agencies.

Hey All CBC Members,
In case you missed the sign up for VBS for the week of June 21-24 you can still volunteer. We have a meeting scheduled for Mon., May 23 at 7 p.m. All volunteers are asked to attend. This year our program will include students ages 4-13. I know this a little different but we are sure it will be a great time for all. It’s a super chance for students to dig deeper into God’s Word and have some fun at the same time. Also another great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors. There will be different, more mature activities planned for students ages 11-13. So teen volunteers need to be 14 by Sept. 1. We will allow some students to help alongside a parent if they are 13 as a volunteer trainee. Along with the age change we also have several logistical changes so hope you will plan to attend if you want to volunteer.

Also T-shirts have already arrived. We ordered lots of them. Volunteers can pick up T’s at the meeting for $6 each. Please bring cash or check to pay if you want to pick up your shirt/s that evening.
