Cupcakes and face painting

Hey Friends,
It’s time to talk “cupcakes”. You guys have been so great in past years to provide us with hundreds:) for the Eggstravaganza. Please let me know by email
if you can make a batch and drop off in the children’s building kitchen on Wed. evening March 23rd or Thursday night 3/24. Your help would be most appreciated. Please be sure and bake them in paper cup liners. Any flavor is fine and no need to ice. Sue will be icing and decorating them for us.

If anyone likes to paint/draw we also need more face painters at the Eggstravaganza. We are having a “Facepainting 101” class on Sunday 3/20 at 4:45 if any are interested. We can still use your help at the event even if you cannot come on Sun eve. Feel free to contact me with any questions

SAT Fee Waiver Info

THIS IS FOR THE COLLEGEBOARD SAT NOT THE STANFORD OFFERED AT CBC

SAT Fee Waivers
If you’re eligible for a fee waiver, you can take the SAT or SAT Subject Tests for free — and apply free to four colleges.
SAT fee waivers are available to low-income 11th and 12th grade students in the U.S. or U.S. territories and U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. may be able to have test fees waived. SAT Subject Test fee waivers are available for students in grades nine through 12.

You’re eligible for fee waivers if you say “yes” to any of these items:

*You’re enrolled in or eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
*Your annual family income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service.
*You’re enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., Federal TRIO programs such as Upward Bound).
*Your family receives public assistance.
*You live in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home, or are homeless.
*You are a ward of the state or an orphan.
What Fee Waivers Cover:
~The registration fee for up to two SATs, with or without the SAT Essay
~The registration fee for up to two SAT Subject Test administrations (take up to three individual SAT Subject Tests taken on a single test day)
~Four limited-time score reports plus four to use at any time (see details below)
~Four college application fee waivers
~Question-and-Answer Service (QAS) or Student Answer Service (SAS) if ordered at the time of registration (QAS and SAS aren’t available for SAT Subject Tests)
~A fee reduction for multiple-choice score verification or essay score verification
~Coverage of the SAT Essay if you are an SAT School Day tester whose school or district covers only the SAT but supports essay testing
~Coverage of the non-U.S. regional fee for fee-waiver-eligible U.S. students who are testing abroad
~Note: If you didn’t register to take the SAT with Essay, but change your mind on test day — and materials are available at your test center — the waiver’s got you covered.

What Fee Waiver’s Don’t Cover
Fee waivers can’t be used if you miss the registration deadline and get on the waitlist.

They don’t cover fees for changing your registration. There’s no fee if you change your mind about taking the SAT with Essay.

Apply to Colleges — For Free
It’s worth repeating: Every student who uses an SAT fee waiver gets four college application fee waivers too.

How to Get a Fee Waiver
Your school counselor or a representative of an authorized community-based organization will help you get a fee waiver.

If you’re home-schooled, you can get fee waivers by contacting a local high school counselor. Just provide proof of eligibility, such as tax records or proof of enrollment in an aid program like those listed above.

How to Register with a Fee Waiver
If you’re registering online, enter the following information:

The 12-digit code (each code is good for one registration only)
The name of a high-school counselor or another authorized person
The way you qualified for the waiver
If you’re registering by mail, send the fee-waiver card that includes this information along with your paper registration form. Incomplete cards or forms will be mailed back to you unprocessed.

If you’re testing in the United States or U.S. territories, you can use a fee waiver during the late registration period.

Additional Score Reports
Every SAT or SAT Subject Test registration covers four score reports, as long as you specify them by the date indicated on your Admission Ticket (usually nine days after your test date).

If you are eligible for a fee waiver, however, you get four additional score reports to use at any time during high school. No matter how many times you register with a fee waiver (or even if you didn’t use a fee waiver to register) you are entitled to the four reports.

To use the flexible score reports, sign in to your free College Board account. The number of score reports still available to you will appear automatically if you have registered using a fee waiver. If you have not previously registered with a fee waiver, indicate that you are eligible and enter the 12-digit code from the bottom of your fee-waiver card. You can also order score reports by phone or paper; before ordering, you can find out how many credits you have left through your My Organizer account or by calling Customer Service.

30 minutes for Christ!

Dads, Moms and Teens:
As you all know the Eggstravaganza is coming soon.  We really want it to be extra special for all kids, those at CBC as well as the ones in the community.  If possible, can you give us 30 minutes while you are there with your families? I am willing to work with you on the times and the place of service that fits you best. Teens are especially appreciated for this event.
Thanks much,
Evelyn
p.s. I understand that some families are in a season where it takes both mom and dad to keep kids safe while attending:) so please come and enjoy the event with them. We appreciate your prayers deeply though.
