KIDS LIFE! NEW!!!!!

{A Whole New Year; A Whole New Look}

Come see what the buzz is all about as we unveil

the new and improved look of Kidz Life!

Fad~n. A passing whim, hobby, style, or fancy, pursued for a time with undue zeal

We’ve all been a part of them.  We’ve all gotten excited from time to time.  From the Chinese jumpropes, twistabeads, and friendship pins of the ‘80s to the paracord bracelets, rainbow looms, and silly bands of the newest generation.  It’s always fun to learn something new and sometimes a new look at an old thing or just a new twist on a new thing can be fun!  Especially surrounded by your friends. But have you ever thought how you can use these things to get your child to serve their neighbors or to share their faith?

Well, stop right there!  We’ve taken the thinking out of how you can do just that.  With the introduction of our Fadz 2 Faith Clubs meeting in conjunction with Woman’s Life, we will reintroduce old fads from times past and reinvent ways of looking at fads from the time present.  All the while, teaching our children how to serve the people around them.  Paul said we are to be all things to all people and sometimes a common interest in a current fad might be just the platform to invite someone to church, share your faith, or simply love those whom God crosses your path.

In coordination with our new Fadz 2 Faith, we are introducing Fit Kidz Club! We will use the second part of your child’s morning to get them moving on the path to a fit lifestyle.  Teaching health and healthy eating choices, our children will see options for healthy snacks and foods and how certain ones give you energy and promote good health.  The rest of the time will be simply to get our kids moving with tried and true methods of fun exercise such as jump rope, games and even organized sports.  We will continue to offer opportunities to complete requirements for Presidential Awards but in addition, will also add a twist to their morning with more games, introduction to rules of organized sports, and get your kidz moving!  That’s our goal.  Get kidz moving and help them to find something they enjoy that goes beyond the typing of their thumbs!

Join us as we enter a new and exciting time in our Kid’s Life program.  Come be a part of building into the lives of the next generation!  For questions or more information on how you can be involved, please contact Evelyn Owens cbcevelyn@gmail.com

Tadpoles anyone?

Name: Theresa Osborne
Email: cre8tedinhim@yahoo.com

I have well over 100 tadpoles that we (my children) collected from a rain puddle a little over a week ago, they got a little excited. It is so exciting to see God’s creation in action. The metamorphosis into frogs is simply amazing! And cool to observe.

If anyone would like some tadpoles to witness this amazing event, please come with a container suitable for transferring (and possibly to keep them in). We are simply using old ice cream buckets-you know the cheap ice cream in the plastic bucket ;). If you do not have a container of your own, I can provide a few but my supplies are limited.

I will also provide a small bit of food to get you through a day or so until you can get your own. ($15 for a large container at Petsmart-possibly cheaper elsewhere. And if you only take a few tadpoles you can probably buy a smaller jar.)

Blessings.
Theresa

Woman’s Life/Kids Life update!

We will be offering an SAT Prep class for students 8-12 grade  at 11:00 during our KidsLife program beginning on Wed., Sept. 10.  Our P.E. program will be available at 9:45 for any students that age. Most of the young high school women attend the Bible study at 9:45 with their moms so we would welcome them in the SAT Prep class or appreciate their help with young children after the teaching time.
Any student who wishes to be a volunteer at KidsLife this year will need to fill out an application and meet with me prior to the first meeting.  That includes any teen who wishes to help at the P.E. program.  This is a new requirement at our KidsLife program.  Please email me if you have a student who wishes to help. cbcevelyn@gmail.com

We will be updating moms very soon on our fresh new ideas for KidsLife.  So stay tuned for more details.

Free dog and cat to a good home

Free dog and cat to a good home. Our dog Carmel is three years old, harmless but needs lots of love. She is timid and far from aggressive, she loves people and loves to be pet. She only barks when someone is approaching the home or walks by. Other than that she does not make a sound. She sleeps inside or outside. She prefers to sunbath in the daytime.

Our cat is one year of age and is a typical cat. His name is spiral, he is a house cat. He won’t even run outside if you open the door.  Very tolerant of children, our 11 month old pulls and tugs on him and he lays there calmly.

Our family by the Grace of God is still growing and we are praying for the opportunity to one day relocate. We have too many animals/pets and we are trying to downsize to only one dog.

Woman’s Life/Kids Life 2014-2015

Name: Evelyn Owens
Email: cbcevelyn@gmail.com
Hey Friends,
Just want everyone to know that we will finalize our plans for the upcoming KidsLife year this week.  Please register your kids starting next week.  Remember all kids ages 2nd through 8th grade can choose two classes of participation for the morning. This year we also will be offering an SAT Prep class from 11:00-12:15.  This will allow high school girls to attend the teaching with their moms and the boys may attend Presidential or help in a classroom.   Don’t forget our KidsLife program is an accompaniment program to our Womans’ Life Program which means we provide KidsLife for the children/students whose moms are attending Woman’s Life.

If anyone is still interested in getting involved in  the children’s classes or in Presidential, please email me cbcevelyn@gmail.com  There is always an opening somewhere for moms who wish to help us provide this great ministry for women and their children.  The morning is split up into two separate serving times so if anyone desires to help for half the morning those positions are available as well.

If you have any questions, I am available by email or phone (521-0626). Thanks and looking forward to another great, fun year with moms and children.
