Teaching that changes lives!

Isn’t that one of the goals of homeschooling??? Moms and dads are encouraged to attend the next homeschool fellowship on Tuesday evening, Nov 9th at 7:00pm in room 115. Pastor Josh Stone will be on hand to lead a discussion on that topic.

Opportunity!

If you are a student interested in how Congress works and how federal policy impacts states and localities, Congresswoman Nancy Mace is seeking enthusiastic individuals to fill

internships available at her District Office in Beaufort Office.

  • Interns in the Beaufort office will have the chance to learn about the inner workings of the federal government through hands-on experience. The District Office’s main role is constituent services. Constituent services can entail helping constituents resolve issues with federal agencies through casework, listening to constituents concerns, directing constituents to appropriate resources, meeting with community members and attending meetings and events in the community.
  • Interns will help the District Office achieve its goals by performing a variety of tasks. Some tasks may include; administrative duties (answering phones, distributing mail, greeting constituents, updating databases); research on issues and legislation; drafting memos and other written documents; assisting staff on special projects; assisting staff with congressional programs; attending meetings and community events with staff, and directing constituents to appropriate resources.

Please use me as a POC. I’m happy to answer questions. My congressional cell phone is 843-609-5108. Lisa Kindwall

Hey friends. Several of you have asked about attending the school shows for Beauty and the Beast (Alyssa and some other sweet, local homeschool friends are in the show). I can plan a field trip for the school shows if we have enough to go as a group. So if you’re interested, please email me by Friday and we can go from there. I’ll need you to pay me on Sunday for us to secure our seats. The school show is at noon on Thursday, November 18th at USCB Center for the Arts (downtown Beaufort). Tickets for adults and kids for the school shows are $8/person. If you can’t make the school shows and would still like to see the play, tickets are on sale, online, for Friday and Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. 🙂
