Ride to church

A friend and I met a woman named Lyndsay at downtown Beaufort last night who said she would like a ride to church this Sunday. I personally do not know her and from our conversation and interaction with her I do NOT recommend a single lady (or man) pick her up.  She is waiting for a call back from me to see what time she needs to be at the Bay street light to get a ride to church this Sunday.
If there is a couple who would be willing to pick her up and bring her, please call me at the church office @ 843-525-0089. ~laura
I will only be able to reach her until about 4pm today as she is using someone’s phone who works downtown.

Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 offered Starting August 1st.

My name is Charlotte Cushman. I have homeschooled for the past 19 years and currently homeschool five of my seven children. This will be my third year of offering classes for local homeschooled students using Saxon Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. This year the classes will be offered on Thursdays.

Classes start on August 1st and end April 16th. We take off from Thanksgiving and all of December.

Fees

$490/paid in full for year

$560/payable in 8 monthly installments of $70

Thursdays

Algebra 1        12:30 – 2:30

Algebra 2        2:30 – 4:30

Class Dates

(Make up dates are for hurricanes/emergency make-up for entire class not for individual missed classes due to absence.)

August             1, 8, 15, 22, 29

September     5, 12, 19, 26

October          (Off October 3, optional hurricane/emergency make up day) 10, 17, 24, 31

November      7, 14, 21 (Off until Jan 2 – optional hurricane/emergency make up days Dec 5, 12)

March              5, 12, 19, 26

Cross Country

Cross Country season is fast approaching! If your athlete is interested in running for the CBCCA Cross Country team, please let us know as soon as possible.

Our first practice will start on Tuesday, July 16 @ 7am, at Burton Wells Rec Center.

ISO Battery Operated Car

I was looking to see if anybody has one of the ride on battery operated kids vehicle that they are wanting to get rid of.  My 4.5 year old granddaughter is coming to visit at the end of the month and I thought it would be fun to get her one of those “Barbie Car” type cars for her to play with.  I’ve priced them at Walmart and they go from any where between $150 to $400 and up which is a bit much for a few days of use.  If you have anything you are wanting to sell or give away I’d appreciate you letting me know!  Thanks,  Bev B.  bevbarnett@gmail.com
