Notes from Zach Holmes:
If you would like to prepare a meal for Frontlines:

Please prepare a meal for 60-70 people (main dish, side(s), dessert). Your meal should be dropped off in the Youth Building kitchen (the building behind the pavilion) at 5:30 PM. We provide plates, napkins, utensils, serving utensils, cups and drinks. We serve the meal from 6:00-6:45 PM. You will not need to stay and serve the meal unless you would like to. The building will not normally be open before 5:30 PM.

Note: If you would like to use the kitchen beforehand, please call Zach to set up a time for it to be opened for you. We need to know ahead of time (preferably Monday or Tuesday) if you would like the building open before 5:30 PM.

There is a weekly budget of $150.00. You can give your receipt to Zach or Caren in the front office for reimbursement.

Note: Please include your first and last name, address and phone number on the receipt and mark the top as Frontlines Meal.

You may cook at your own home or at the Youth building (see above note about opening the building). You can cook by yourself or with a friend and bring the food to the youth building by 5:30 PM so that everything can be set up to be served by 6 PM. If you have any questions please call or text Zach at (843)441-3770.

Examples of meals:

Spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and cupcakes
Casseroles, veggies and dip, and brownies
Sandwiches, chips, and cookies
Chili, baked potatoes, and ice cream sandwiches

Thank you for serving!

Need Advanced Tutoring?

If you don’t know Natalie – she is a gifted college student who is training to do Bible translations. She is tutoring to pay her way through college. I highly recommend going through the Wyzant tutoring platform if you need help in any of these subjects. Thanks Charlotte

From Natalie –

I’m an experienced tutor looking for more students! I specialize in math help from kindergarten to calculus, especially that tricky little transition between arithmetic and algebra. I could also do other subjects including Spanish, chemistry, English, biblical Greek, and general homework help. I am working with an online tutoring platform to help pay my way through college, and I’m willing to offer discounted rates to people from CBCCA. Use the link so I know you’re with CBCCA when you log in – I’m happy to schedule a demo of the online classroom format with you.

Here is the link to her tutoring profile. She has provided a discount code for new students.

Computer Science Information

FYI

Please find following some information about some local support available for those interested in pursuing computer careers. Mr. Aker is a former homeschool dad who is interested in helping local students to prepare for the technology field. He is looking to assess interest in the homeschool community. I am attaching some PDFs about different career paths available in Computer Science.

You may to contact him at: les_aker@byeman.com

From Les Aker –

I’m the technology subject matter expert volunteer with the Lowcountry chapter of SCORE, a member of the Beaufort Digital Corridor, and I’m on the advisory board for the Cyber program at TCL.  I spent most of my 40+ year Computer Science career working at the Naval Research Laboratory (www.nrl.navy.mil), the US Navy’s corporate research and development facility.

I also manage an online server for the TCL Cyber students where they can ask questions about their careers and coursework.  If there is an interest among the parents, it would not be difficult to do the same thing for high school students.

Toddler Bed w Mattress for Sale

Toddler bed for sale with mattress.
The bed is well loved and has markings on the sides as seen in the picture. The Sealy mattress has always been protected by a mattress cover. I took it off to show a picture of the mattress condition.
Comes with used fair condition sheets and I think an extra mattress cover for accidents.
