Hey CBC Member Moms,
Are you looking for a place to plug in where you can find support, encouragement, instruction, and accountability in the homeschooling of your 4-year-old to 6th grader? (Nursery and engaging preschool classes are provided for your younger children) CBC Elementary Co-op might be the place for you!
We meet Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to noon starting August 20th for 28 weeks. The morning begins with group assembly and recitation and then breaks out into grade-level classes with enriching lessons in Language Arts, History, Science and Art.
This morning can be used as supplemental enrichment alongside your current curriculum or you can follow along with the curriculums that we use in class.
· Claritas Cycle 4 Memory Guide (each family must purchase 1 copy as this is the guide for our recitation and the framework for each week’s lesson – a group order is available to save on shipping).
· Cycle 4 Memory Work Guide — Claritas Publishing (claritas-publishing.com)
· History – Mystery of History Vol. 4 or Story of the World Vol. 4
· MasterBooks: God’s Design for the Physical World (MB Edition)
· Science – Grade 6 – Grade 5 – Homeschool Curriculum (masterbooks.com)
· Language Arts (grades 3rd-6th) – Well-Ordered Language 1A/2A Well-Ordered Language – Classical Academic Press

Do you have a friend interested in homeschooling that still has questions?
Invite them this week to all of the homeschool activities at CBC, but then also bring them back on Saturday to the Book Blast!
Evelyn Owens will have a table at the Book Blast from 10-12 and be available to help answer questions about early learning, reading readiness, curriculum choices, homeschooling with little ones and also how to train your children and homeschool at the same time.

Junior Class Parents
Hello CBCCA Junior class parents! Graduation 2024 is quickly approaching. The junior class is responsible for helping the graduating senior class on Friday, May 24th.
Juniors (and parents) are needed in the following areas if you are available.
- arrive at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 24 to help the graduates with the rehearsal, line up, and procession(Ireland, Foskey) Instructions will be given during rehearsal.
- arrive at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 24 in “dress casual” attire and pass out bulletins at each entrance into the sanctuary (Foskey, Osborne, Castrinos, Wright) Bulletins will be printed and ready for you to pass out. Just grab a stack and man each entrance as you welcome our guests with a smile.
- arrive in the fellowship hall before the graduation ceremony ends and attend to the refreshment areas throughout the reception (Osborne, Bales, Betty Smith) Please have someone stand in the hallway by the fellowship hall and direct all guests to enter from the back of the fellowship hall (on the front fountain side). See Stacey H. and Colleen B. for directions.
- drink station (Cushman) You know what to do.
- clean up the fellowship hall and kitchen after the reception (Harmon, Wiegel, any other available helpers) Please see Angie G., Devon R., or Jordan H. for directions with decorations and Stacey H. and Colleen B. for kitchen clean up.
Thank you all so much for helping the Class of 2024 in this way!
Feel free to switch with someone if it works better for your schedule. Any other juniors who want to help, just let me know and I can assign you a responsibility or just jump in and help.
Please email Amy at secretthingsbttl@gmail.com if you have any questions or are unable to serve and I will find a replacement.

There are discounted rates for military and you can take water bottles for inside the park and take a picnic lunch to eat in the parking lot.
