Rare But Real Conference

Young women have been growing up with an indoctrination of what womanhood is and what it should be. They have been taught everything that is in stark contrast to the Word of God. You are invited to hear three young women who have not bought into the lie of the culture. Instead, they have learned, and are learning, to be discerning in a day when everything seems to go against God’s design. They are rare but they are real.
GraceAnna Castleberry will hold a short talk on reading the Bible – because now it’s rare, but it’s where our true strength comes from…the Word.
Maureen Broggi will talk about suffering and about the importance of knowing and believing who God is through all of it. Also, about knowing who we are in Christ. If we’re not grounded when the storms come, we will easily be blown away and left in a pile of rubble.
Chesed Broggi will share about being “counter-culturally small”…investing in the home, the church, and the local community – instead of always seeking to maximize one’s reach and potential. She will also touch on prayerful dependence on the Lord.
The Rare But Real conference will be held at the Beaufort campus, Friday evening, September 25th from 6:30-8:30. Please register at communitybiblechurch.us/real. In the registration process, you will have an opportunity to ask questions of Maureen, Chesed and/or GraceAnna. If you’ve already registered, but thought of more questions, submit them to Claudia Gay at cbcgay@gmail.com.
If you are unable to attend in person, you will be able to watch via live stream.
CBCCA Sept. Fellowship
The next CBCCA fellowship will be on Tuesday, Sept 8 at 7:00pm in the sanctuary of CBC. We will be practicing social distancing and kindly ask that you wear your mask to and from your seats.
This meeting will focus on 3 topics and I hope that families new to CBCCA will find it especially encouraging. We have 3 veteran Homeschool moms who will address the following:
~ Evelyn Owens: Progress Reports: Why we do them and how!!!
~ Theresa Osborne: Teaching multiple ages; organizing your homeschool.
~ Charlotte Cushman: The Math Path; succesfully teaching your JR/SR high student.
Each will speak on their respective topics for 10-15 minutes. There will be a short time for Q & A but we ask if you have questions ahead of time please email them to cbcgay@gmail.com and we will make sure they get addressed!

Celebrate Constitution Day 2020 – September 17th
§ Did you know that the US Department of Education declared that any education institution receiving federal funds must offer lessons on the US Constitution every year for Constitution Day?
§ Do you have plans for Constitution Day this year?
§ Looking for fun curriculum, lesson plans and games to use in the classroom?
In celebration of our country’s Constitution, the U.S. Department of Education has designated September 17 as annual Constitution Day! The day is intended to prompt any federally funded educational institution to conduct an event of their own design that celebrates the signing of the U.S. Constitution which occurred in 1787. Events or programming can be designed as educators see fit to best emphasize this momentous event with their students. Need a free Constitution Day Pocket Book or a Constitution Day tool kit? Look no further: http://www.constitutionday.cc/
Through participation in Constitution Day, students will increase their basic skills of listening, speaking, writing, reading, problem analysis, and many more attributes to include citizenship and awareness of their Constitution applicable to their daily lives. Read the Federal Register establishing Constitution Day at https://www.loc.gov/law/help/commemorative-observations/constitution-day.php
Need Constitution Day Activities and Resources?
Make the most important document in the United States, the Constitution, fun and educational for your students while learning 10 things you didn’t know about the U.S. Constitution or drafting a Class Constitution of their own.
