Progress Reports Due
Just a reminder that progress reports for students in grades K-8 are due on or before November 10th. There is a container at the reception desk.
I have had several questions as to what exactly needs to be turned in so here it is:
~a brief summary of your student’s progress in each course. (High School grades must be reported numerically.) (listed on the progress report)
~the number of days your family homeschooled for the reporting period. This must total 180 days by the end of the year. (listed on the progress report)
~in the last report of the year, you must include a statement saying that the student has fulfilled all requirements for that school year and is being promoted to the next grade. (listed on the progress report)
~One sample of work in each subject is needed.
~A sample page of your plan book or course schedule.
In addition: For children in the 3rd grade and above, a copy of their standardized achievement test must be submitted by the end of the year.
Blank copies of the progress report can be found on the blog or I can email to you.
Oh, and one more fun thing…..everyone who submits their progress report on or before the Nov 10th deadline will have a chance to win a Chick-fil-A Gift certificate!

Dog Sitter Needed
We are looking to pay a family (or an individual) to care for our two dogs while we travel back to Iowa during the week of Thanksgiving. Ideally someone that could watch both dogs at their home.

We have two small Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Violet and Raven. They are the easiest and sweetest (and laziest) girls! They don’t take much to care for. They sleep and cuddle most of the day or just follow you around. They can be alone for up to 8 hours. They get along great with other dogs and cats and enjoy going on walks too.
Dates needed:
Mon. Nov 25 to Sat. Nov. 30
Payment: $300
Please text or call if you are interested

Hey there, just wanted to put something sweet out there. If anyone is looking for some treats or needs something baked. This is a great opportunity to support a local business and their treats are very delicious. Especially that Vanilla Cake!!! That’s a big favorite in our family. They do special orders as well, and would love some new customers. Click on the link at the top of this page and enjoy some goodies 😁

Thinking of CSU? Info below
My name is Amy Bryant, and I am the homeschool liaison at Charleston Southern University. My job is to provide guidance to homeschool students and their families as they navigate the college admissions process. Additionally, I serve as the enrollment counselor for Scholars Academy, CSU’s dual enrollment program. We offer a variety of dual enrollment courses both online and in-person. You can find more about our Scholars Academy program here.
Having homeschooled my four children, I understand the questions that homeschool students and their parents may have. I find joy in helping the homeschool community, so please feel free to share my contact information with the CBCCA families. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if I can ever be of assistance.
Blessings,
