CBC’s Mercy Ministry is looking for volunteers who would be willing to make a meal periodically (usually once or twice in a three month period) for those in special need. This would be a wonderful ministry for a family, especially with older children who love to cook and perhaps are learning homemaking skills. I can attest as a recipient of meals when William was in his last few months that it was a HUGE blessing. You don’t need to be a gourmet chef, even a simple meal is always appreciated!

I am in need of toys for ages 3-5, friends. I’d love to find wooden pattern blocks, those little counting bears that we used with our Saxon early math curriculum, DUPLO’s, a train set for a three year old…all of the great stuff that I gave away about twenty years ago. If you’ve got children who are just beyond that age and looking to offload games, toys, and books, please reach out. The only thing I kept were my children’s favorite books and LEGO’s.
