Facebook encouragement group
Dacia Eady has created a new facebook group for first time homeschooling moms. Click on the link below.
There are already a few of the veterans mommas in there too. Also, we have our 4/5 year old group for our Sunday school classes on facebook too. Look forward to meeting others online and in person once SS starts back up.
CBCCA APPS
Just a reminder that the annual mandatory meeting is now posted and available until Friday evening to watch: https://cbccahomeschooling.com/annual-mandatory-meeting/
If you are wondering how you can “sign in” for the meeting, there is a 2 step process:
- Email me at cbcgay@gmail.com stating that you did watch it.
- Pastor Carl gave 5 reasons by way of encouragement as to why we homeschool. One of the reasons was the superior one on one education we can provide our children. He compared the value of a homeschool education to a certain high end vehicle. Answer the following question in the same email: Name the vehicle he mentioned!
In addition I have received several applications without a notary signature! PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF APPLCIATIONS UNLESS THEY ARE NOTARIZED! I am available to notarize as well as Caren Harvey, but please call ahead to make sure we are in the office to do so. There is a Notary in the UPS store as well. Applications are due in the office by Aug 28th. Thanks for your help on this!

Is homeschooling on your radar? Does it look like the best school option for your kids and one that might just work for your whole family? If so, this webinar is for you!
Join three homeschool experts and a public school mom who will walk you through an overview of what you need to get started homeschooling and answer your questions about how homeschooling can work for your kids.
Public school mom Sandra Kim has decided to jump into homeschooling—and actually, she’s still figuring things out! In this webinar, she’s joined by 3 experienced homeschooling parents to help answer her questions and reassure her that she can help her children thrive!
- What do I teach? Where do I get curriculum? And how much will it cost?
- What kind of curriculum would fit my kid best? What is my child’s learning style?
- What about evaluations: What is my child ready to learn? How do I evaluate progress? What testing is required?
- What resources, support, and community are available to me and my child while homeschooling?
- How do working parents juggle homeschooling and work?
Workshop will be aired live on August 13.
