Live online homeschool math classes 2021-2022

Small, online, live and interactive math classes available for 2021-2022!

Hi! My name is Charlotte Cushman. I have been homeschooling through CBCCA since 2000! My experience has taught me that homeschool parents don’t have unlimited time. It is very difficult and time-consuming to personally tutor every lesson for every subject for every student in your homeschool.

I have been tutoring math for the last four years. YouTube videos and DVDs are great resources, but students who are not self-motivated or who struggle in math need a live teacher. They need someone who teaches the concept and is willing to circle back around and explain it until they understand. They need accountability in the classroom during instruction and someone who is checking for understanding throughout the class. Students do better when they are called on in class and have to listen and interact during a lesson. Many times a student struggles with math because they need more repetition, extra help with difficult concepts and feedback on what they are getting wrong in problem sets.

Twice a week your student will work alongside me in a small class setting as we work through the examples and practice problems of the Saxon text. There will be no more than four other students in their class (class size is limited to five students). Each student will be expected to ask and answer questions as well as participate in class. My goal is that each student will demonstrate an increasing understanding of the material as we work through it together.

I will be offering Alg 2, Saxon 6/5 and Alg 1/2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Alg 1 and Saxon 8/7 on Wed/Fri.

I am not positive I will have any other Algebra 1 slots because I am waiting to see if a current student will be returning.

I have 3 slots left for Algebra 2, 3 slots left for Saxon 6/5 and 1 slot left for Saxon 8/7 and 4 slots left for Alg 1/2.

Please check out my website to get detailed schedule, price and time information:  https://thehomeschoolmathclasscom.wordpress.com/.

But the early bird gets the worm!

A free CBCCA T-Shirt will be given to the next 10 people to turn in Family Pages between now and Monday March the 29th! So get excited and work on those family pages! Text me if you need some inspiration! 843-592-1502. Also text me if you need help!

INSTRUCTIONS

When designing your page in Tree Ring – please make a note of what template and background you use as they do not transfer automatically. Please give that information to Sue Cerrillo when your family page is done.
For Seniors – You have a Half Page Spread for the senior pages to do. It is 8.5 wide by 5.5 high. You will use one of the two page spreads in your account for your senior page. Please also text Ms. Sue when this is done and let her know what background or template you used.

Text Sue Cerrillo at: 712-249-1095 with your name, what background or template you used in TreeRing and that you have completed your family page so that the yearbook team can get your page copied over into the book. After she does that, you will be able to design your additional FREE personal pages that come with your yearbook purchase. These will only be in your personal book!
Family Page Instructions

1. After you validate your account as a parent you do NOT need to add all your kids, just the oldest in each family.

2. Once you have signed up you should be taken to your oldest child’s custom pages. It should look like this.

4. On either the Left OR the Right side, this is where you will create and design your Family page for the Yearbook.  The Tabs on the right hand side of the page allow you to add Photos (from your computer or your phone/ipad) and Text to your page. Simply “click and drag” uploaded photos or text or a Text Box onto the pages themselves.
