What’s Your Favorite Book?

As the new school year is approaching and we are filling in our calendars, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a “What’s Your Favorite Book?” group.

Join other homeschooling children as they share their favorite stories . You will have 2-3 minutes to tell why you LOVE your book. You can dress in character or bring small props if they would like.

Don’t forget to bring your book!

We will be meeeting at CBC in room #118 from 10:00-12:00 The first meeting will be September 14, 2017.

Ministry Opportunity with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship)

Would you like to see your family be involved in the lives of public school children? Would you and your family like to share the excitement of talking about Jesus Christ in a public school? Would you and your family be a friend to a public school student and maybe be the only Christian influence they see all week?

Then we encourage you to pray and ask for God’s wisdom and see if He is leading you to get involved in this ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Good News Clubs (GNC)

Out of the 36 schools in a four county area, Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton, CEF was in 16 schools with 450 children enrolled in the 2016-17 school year.

Once a week for 1 1/2 hours you will get to interact with public school students in grades 1-5.

Clubs usually start right at the end of the school day, approx 2:45pm except River Ridge and Hardeeville. Clubs run September through December and January through May.

Your whole family can come together to the clubs.

Volunteer for once a month or every week.
Work with trained CEF volunteers.
Your family needs only to bring your hands and hearts for these public school students.

Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press. This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.
