Frontlines Meals Needed!

CBC Members!healthy meal

We need people to volunteer to cook dinner on Thursdays for the Frontlines youth ministry at CBC.

Sign up today at: http://www.takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=LEGR9659.

Dinner is served from 6 -7 PM. A main dish, a side dish and a dessert(s) are needed each week to feed about 60-75 people. Drinks, cups, plates and silverware, etc. will be provided. There is a weekly budget of $125.00. You can turn your receipt into Drew Kuehl or directly to Caren in the front office for reimbursement.

You may cook at your own home or at the Youth building (however, the oven on the stove doesn’t work very well). You can cook by yourself or with a friend and bring the food to the youth building by 5:30 PM so that everything can be set up to be served by 6 PM.

If you have any questions please call Mary Ann Tkach at (843) 812-5106. Please also check out the CBC Student Ministry-Wired Facebook page for more info.

This is a wonderful way to serve the youth at CBC. Thanks in advance to all who sign up to help. http://www.facebook.com/groups/cbcwired

I want to thank all the women who turned out for the Cognitive Development workshop this past Tuesday evening! It is our prayer that it was an informative, fun and encouraging evening for you all! I apologize for not having enough handouts and have made more copies. You will find them on the lower part of the counter behind the CBCCA information area. Laura said it is fine for you to walk behind the counter to get them on Sunday. Please pass along to your friends who might not see this post. Thank you for your patience! Blessings, Tammy

Real estate advice needed.

Brief overview: We were approached by our housing contractor to purchase part of the land we recently purchased. They have asked us turn an offer into them.

Is there any realtor willing to talk with us about this? We have many questions and do not know a good realtor.

Workshop reminder!

WORKSHOPS BEGIN at 6:30 pm Tonight!

6:30: CBCCA Speech Workshop for moms/dads:  In today’s world, it is vital that Christians rise up as leaders.  One way to encourage our children to lead is by practicing communication skills.
This fall your child will have the opportunity to participate in two CBCCA practice speech events which will offer a variety of speech categories.  One category is “Apologetics”- Pastor Broggi has chosen specific topics for us to train our children in the defense of our faith.
Come join Mark and Sharon Mansell as they share the topics, speech categories and how to teach your children ages 8-18 to present a speech. Room 118

7:30: Enhancing Your Child’s Cognitive Abilities: Cognitive skills include brain functions such as auditory and visual processing, working and long-term memory, comprehension, attention, logic and reasoning abilities which are fundamental to a person’s ability to receive, process, retain and apply information.

Come and learn how to strengthen these abilities, which impact job performance, academics, relationships, communication and life skills. It will be a fun introductory time of learning how you can add memory and processing games to your family game night or home school day!  Meet in room 115/cafe.
