Dear Homeschooling Families,

Classical Conversations of Beaufort will be hosting a Winter Open House on Tuesday, January 22nd. This Open House is for homeschooling families interested in joining or learning more about our Classical Conversations program. You will be able to observe and participate together with our community during this time. There will also be a time where families can ask any questions they may have regarding our CC program. If you would like to attend thisl Open House in January, please email me to reserve your place. SPACE IS LIMITED. Once you reserve your place, I will give more detailed directions regarding
the day.

I am happy to schedule another day for you to visit if January 22nd is not convenient for you.

Here’s a the specifics of our Classical programs and times:

The Foundations program occurs from 9:00AM-12noon (K4-6th) followed by lunch and playground time outside.

We welcome you to come and see what Classical Conversations is all about and how our mornings together work! Please include with your RSVP the names/ages of your children. Your children are welcome to attend with you. We have a nursery available for 3 years and under. Please plan to bring lunch with you if you as this will enable you to speak with other CC moms in the program during our lunch hour and allow me an opportunity to answer your questions.

We will begin accepting NEW registrations for the 2013-14 year on February 1, 2013. You may visit www.classicalconversations.com for more specific information on the Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge programs.

Looking for Film Projector

From Sue Cerrillo:

I am trying to find someone with an 8mm reel-to-reel film projector to borrow.

We were given some old 8mm family films this Christmas and I would like to borrow a projector to view them on.

Please contact me if you or someone you know may be willing to loan it out for a few weeks.
Thanks

baby Ellie’s funeral

From Claudia Gay:

As you may know, baby Ellie Cushman’s funeral is Monday at 11:00 at CBC. Burial is at noon at the national cemetery followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. For those who are able to bring finger foods for the reception, it would be greatly appreciated. Cookies, mini sandwiches, crackers/cheese trays, vegetable trays etc. can be brought on Sunday to the CBC kitchen in the Children’s building or Monday before the service. Thanks so much for helping with this. Questions? Please call Claudia at 525-0089 or e-mail atcbcgay@gmail.com

BJU receivers available

From Tyna Couch:

I have some BJU HomeSat receivers (and dish) that I would like to donate to a student studying technology if one can use it. All of my kids were homeschooled by live teachers at the university but the university no longer uses the satellite dish system any longer. Rather than toss it, I was hoping to find a student or teacher who would like to get creative with it. I was told that the system was pretty simple and could be modified for other applications. If you could share this info, I would appreciate it. God bless! Tyna <tynacouch@gmail.com>
