Saturday, November 1 through Wednesday, December 31You and your family are invited on an amazing 4-D adventure this holiday season on The Polar Express! When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery showing him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. The Polar Express 4-D Experience is based on the inspiring and beloved Caldecott Medal children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. Enjoy this heartwarming 15-minute movie for free with yourmembership.
Wednesday, November 12Homeschooling families, enjoy a fun-filled day of hands-on education and meet the Aquarium’s expert aviculturist, Monty Wallace. Learn about the Aquarium’s bird species directly from their caretakers, meet the animals face-to-face, and complete scavenger hunts and educational activities. This program is part of a 4-day series with a different animal theme each day, and further upcoming programs will take place on January 14, 2015 (Fish Day) and March 11, 2015 (Invertebrates Day). Participation is $5 per member child. Reserve your spot today!

8 – 9 a.m.Join us before we open to the public for a fun morning just for toddlers and their parents! Balancing Slow

For those of you who missed the meeting last night – Monica Wilkinson shared some really good thoughts.
The one that I thought the most about was SLOW, Surrender, Listen, Obey and Worship.
She also shared A LOT of Scripture – including this one on Wisdom – Proverbs 3:17-18 “Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast.”
I admit is was difficult for me to think of slowing down (in the evening after dinner? who else is going to make sure the kitchen is clean and everything is ready for the next day!!!) But I appreciated her point that we be intentional about what we choose and to try and balance what the needs are with an intentional focus on what is most important… our family.
What Monica shared made me think made me think…. Am I wise in my home? Am I a blessing to those who are in my home?
