Use Your Gifts this Fall!

From Amy Fitzgerald – fall festival

The harvest is plentiful…. looking for the laborers!  Cool weather, pumpkins, and the annual CBC Harvest Festival is upon us and we need your help.  Do you have a desire to serve just not sure where?  Do you want to serve and just run out of time?

Then the Harvest Festival might just be the great opportunity you have been looking for!

We are searching for people excited to share the love of Christ and have fun to help us man the new and improved games during the annual festival.

If you have a couple of hours to give and would like to help the game committee during the Harvest Festival then please contact Amy Fitzgerald (f18fitz@hotmail.com) for more information.

Can you help prepare a meal for Frontlines?

Looking for cooks from CBC to help with youth ministry food!
If you would like to serve our teens please sign up for bringing a meal to Frontlines. The budget is $100.00 reimbursed by the church.
We need people to volunteer to cook dinner on Thursdays for the Frontlnes youth ministry at CBC. Dinner is served from 6 -7 PM. A main dish, a side dish and a dessert(s) are needed each week to feed about 60-75 people. Drinks will be taken care of by Debi Gant, meal coordinator. There is a weekly budget of $100.00. You can turn your receipt into Debi or to Drew Kuehl for reimbursement. You may cook at your own home or at the Youth building (however, the oven on the stove doesn’t work very well). You can cook by yourself or with a friend and bring the food to the youth building by 5:30 PM so that everything can be set up to be served by 6 PM. If you have any questions please call Debi at 843-812-0171. Please also check out the CBC Student Ministry-Wired Facebook page for more info This is a wonderful way to serve the youth at CBC. Thanks in advance to all who sign up to help.

Opportunity to Reach Lowcountry Children for Christ

From Belinda Jones – good news club 1

Dear Friends,

Child Evangelism Fellowship of the Lowcountry is looking for volunteers to serve children in the public schools in their Good News Club after school programs. “It is legal to allow Good News Club® to meet in school facilities.  On June 11, 2001, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that Child Evangelism Fellowship® could have access to public school facilities to conduct Good News Clubs. The decision stated that Bible clubs such as the Good News Club must be given the same access to school facilities accorded any other non-school-related outside group”.

good news club2As the Good News Coordinator for the club at St. Helena Elementary School, I am seeking volunteers to serve on this team.  There has been a Good News Club at St. Helena Elementary School three years and October 15th marks the beginning of a fourth year. The new principal of S.H.E., Ms. Senfronia Smith is excited about the school having a Good News Club and looks forward to the beginning of club.   If you are interested in learning more about the ministry of Good News Club and how you, your family or your church can be involved, please come out to the upcoming volunteer training meeting.  You will see demo Good News Club and learn what God is doing through this ministry.

A Good News Club volunteer team needs teachers, snack donations and servers, age group shepherds, prayer partners, prize donations and organizer, as well as general helpers.  Please feel free to share this email with persons you know and invite them to attend the training.  If you need a ride to attend training please let me know.

Babysitter needed

My neighbor who is new to Beaufort and new to CBC…is in need of a dependable babysitter recommendation. They have 4 kids, 13, 7, 5 and 3. (Mainly for the younger 3)
It would be great if the sitter would be able to drive but not a must. We live on Lady’s Island.
Her husband travels for work a lot during the week and would just like the opportunity to go to the store and run errands some days and also sneak in a date night when her husband is home.
If you are interested or could drop me some names that I could give to her, I know she would really appreciate it.

I just haven’t needed a babysitter in a while and don’t know who is available through our church body. 🙂
Thanks so much

Mary Ann Tkach Meals

From Lisa Mullinax –meal

Many of you know the Tkach family. They have faithfully served our church and especially our youth. Mary Ann has been walking through breast cancer and has just finished her chemo. She is now scheduled for surgery this Tuesday.

We would like to bless our dear friends with meals as she has surgery and recovers over the next few weeks.

Her appetite has improved and her diet isn’t restricted anymore because her chemo is done. There will be 5 adults to prepare for, because her sister-in-law will be here to help.

If you would like to help us to bless this family, please sign up to take meals here: http://www.takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=IIVJ6089.  The password is Maryann.

I am the meal coordinator. If you need any assistance you can call me  at 843-422-4223.

Thank you and God bless!
