Then come tomorrow night February 3rd at 7 pm to Community Bible Church of Beaufort, SC to Community Bible Church Christian Academy meeting Tantrums or Tyrants – A mom’s guide to biblical discipline.
Giveaways include copies of Teach Them Diligently, Don’t Make Me Count to Three, The Heart of Anger, Shepherding A Child’s Heart, Age of Opportunity, The One-Year Children’s Bible and the Wise Words flip chart. You must be present to win!
My prayer is that we will be able to address biblical discipline by God’s grace from a mom’s perspective. All area moms (homeschooling or not!) are invited to join us as we explore what God’s Word says about children and discipline. I am humbled by this opportunity to “get real” about what it is like for a big sinner to teach a lot of little sinners! I also hope to help you to avoid some of the pitfalls that I have fallen into by trying to discipline apart from the Gospel.

Struggling with homeschooling because your children won’t obey? This meeting will cover children of all ages, so please come Feb. 3rd at 7 pm. Community Bible Church – 638 Parris Island Gateway.
All area homeschool moms are invited to join us as we explore what God’s Word says about children, homeschooling and discipline. My name is Charlotte Cushman and I am currently homeschooling six different grades! I am humbled by this opportunity to “get real” about what it is like for a big sinner to teach a lot of little sinners! I also hope to help you to avoid some of the pitfalls that I have found in trying to discipline apart from the Gospel. This will be a practical session on how to apply biblical wisdom in your homeschool.

Balancing Slow

For those of you who missed the meeting last night – Monica Wilkinson shared some really good thoughts.
The one that I thought the most about was SLOW, Surrender, Listen, Obey and Worship.
She also shared A LOT of Scripture – including this one on Wisdom – Proverbs 3:17-18 “Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast.”
I admit is was difficult for me to think of slowing down (in the evening after dinner? who else is going to make sure the kitchen is clean and everything is ready for the next day!!!) But I appreciated her point that we be intentional about what we choose and to try and balance what the needs are with an intentional focus on what is most important… our family.
What Monica shared made me think made me think…. Am I wise in my home? Am I a blessing to those who are in my home?

All CBCCA kids Kindergarten through 11th Grade are wanted.
Seniors have their own separate photo shoot day.
If your child/ren have not had their photo taken, please consider bringing them by the church during that time to get their photo for the yearbook. Only takes a couple minutes.
If your child/ren are having retakes, please make sure they come to the photo room again. If I have checked them off my list, I may not know to retake their photo. You can email me ahead of time, too, if you already know they need retakes.
Lisa will be posting a link with the proofs for you to view soon. If you want to order, please contact Lisa or pick up an order form on Wednesday.

Hi Everyone!
Just a reminder that yearbook class pictures will be taken this Wednesday, October 8 during Kid’s Life. Fit Kidz will have a health class instead of going outside. We will try our best to get all of the Kid’s Life kids this Wednesday, but if not we will get them on October 22.
Lisa will have information available if you would like to purchase pictures and I am also attaching the order form.
Your child does not have to be in CBCCA to have their picture taken or to order pictures.

Looking for Spanish and Geometry Program & Amazing Ideas for Middle/High School Grammar

I am looking for a Spanish program with teaching DVDs.
Also, I would appreciate some input on the best Geometry program. We use Saxon, and I heard that the Saxon Geometry teaching DVDs are terrible.
Also, I am tired of Abeka grammar, and Easy Grammar Plus? Who knows of a nice, uncomplicated, yet entertaining Grammar program/book for middle school and high school?
