Run, Forrest, RUN!

Everyone,

CBCCA now has a cross country team! It is not too late to join and you don’t even have to be a fast runner. Just be willing to come out and do your best.

While we have enough people to make up middle school boys and girls teams and a high school girls team, we are looking for some more boys to complete the high school team. Right now we have 7 high school meets planned beginning on August 27th and going through October 29th.

So if you are interested please contact Jay Reedy at j.reedy@outlook.com.

Building Faith Families Conference at Community Bible Church in Beaufort, SC on August 20th!

Doors will open at 8:30 am.

Conference will take place in the Fellowship Hall.

Children are welcome with no extra charge! No childcare is provided. You may pack a lunch for your children or families may order pizza on site that morning.

Schedule

9:00-10:15

The Divine Blueprint for Building a Family of Faith

In Deuteronomy 6, God’s simple and effective plan for the family begins with parents loving God with everything in them and having His word on their hearts. When parents have established their own relationship with God and His word, they are equipped to teach their children to love God and His word.

10:30-11:45

Biblical Principles of Communication for the Family

Loving God and each other are relationships. Relationships are built on edifying communication. No one can build up, or tear down, more than those that we love the most. In this workshop we will examine how to hear and understand each other in a safe place.

Lunch

1:00-2:15

Loving Your Family as God Has Loved Us

The second command is to love others as we want to be loved. But the ‘new commandment’ that Jesus calls us to implement, is to love others as we have been loved by Him. This is a different perspective that focuses our attention on Jesus Himself and how He has loved us.
