Curtis Bostic

From Charlotte Cushman:

Curtis Bostic is one of the candidates for Tim Scott’s seat. He is a lawyer in Charleston, and several homeschooling families up there have contacted me about making contacts for him down here.
I thought that our families down here might be interested in researching him for themselves and/or maybe someone or a group here in Beaufort could host him down here to see what he has to say.
I don’t know a whole lot about him, aside from what his website says, but things I like about him so far –
Pro-Life
Fiscally Conservative
Homeschooling Father of 5
Marine Corps veteran
I thought he might be worth looking into.
Above is his website and his email address is:  cbostic@bosticlaw.com.
Please contact him directly if you are interested in hosting a gathering – informational meeting.

Science Fair

From Claudia Gay:

Is there interest in a Science Fair (and where is Melissa Carter when you need her : ))
Just had a call from a member of the Sea Island Science Fair committee who was very interested in seeing that CBCCA continued on with holding a science fair; and expressed an interest in helping with resources to do so. If there is a parent willing to take the reins on this let me know and I will put you in contact with him.

From Joyce Glover:

Just a reminder that the CHEC Planning Fellowship is Tuesday night at 7:00 pm. Please bring a finger food, side dish or salad to share. I’ll provide dessert. Two ladies (Sharon S & Dawn M) are bringing drinks and another (Beth J) is bringing the paper products. We have some fun door prizes from Vendors (and my thirty-one stash!), so come ready to fellowship, brainstorm and make new friends. Please park in the Mormon parking lot. See you Tuesday!

Read with the Best

From Tammy Waldron:

If you have a student that is looking for a challenge, this looks like it could be a great curriculum. It is a 2 and 1/4 credit Literature course that will prepare your student for the SAT, AP exam, and CLEP exam.  Also, on this website you can find resources for learning disabilities and a wonderful career and college guide.
