Marriage Bible Study

Marriage, the way God intended it to be, is a true art form.

Brian and Kelly McDaniel will host Family Life’s The Art of Marriage DVD and small group study at their home in Early Branch, SC, on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 until 9 p.m beginning March 1-April 5.

The Art of Marriage weaves together biblically-centered teaching, real-life stories, and humorous vignettes to portray both the challenges and the beauty of God’s design. Each session will include a 30-minute DVD presentation by ministry leaders such as Dennis and Barbara Rainey, Voddie Baucham, Russell Moore, Crawford Loritts and others, and covers the following topics:

• Love Happens: God’s Purpose and Plan
• Love Fades: Overcoming Isolation
• Love Dances: Fulfilling Our Responsibilities
• Love Interrupted: Communication and Conflict
• Love Sizzles: Experiencing Real Intimacy
• Love Always: Leaving a Lasting Legacy

No childcare will be provided but infants are welcome. We have room for a few more; however, we are limited to 6 couples. You do not have to be a member of CBC to participate.

Botany Homework for KIDS Life Students

Your children have learned about seeds, flowers, fruits and leaves so far this year in Kids Life.
Their homework for this next class (Feb 24) is to use their leaf identification paper from today and bring back as many leaves as they can identify (glued to a paper and labeled with Venation, Margin, Shape).

Fulfill the Great Commission

Wondering if any moms or husband/wife teams who attend on Wed. evenings and are CBC members would be interested in helping us once every 8 weeks with our babes and preschoolers. As most of you know we have many new families and visitors who attend therefore we are always in need of more volunteers to help in our nurseries. We consider it a great privilege to have so many visitors and young families come to CBC. Maybe you would like to take this opportunity to help us fulfill the great commission to those in our own community. Cartier Family Adoption Fundraiser Auction
 
We are raising funds to bring our little guy home.  We’d love to share more information about “T” but unfortunately we are not allowed to tell you his name, where he lives, etc. just that he is in the US and about as far away as you can get from here ;)  We are currently in need of traveling funds…very likely Tuesday of next week we are traveling to get him!!  8 DAYS from today!!  Originally the Facebook auction was going to be Thirty-One items and whatever else we could find around here…and then God put it on a number of peoples hearts to donate to help bring “T” home, 11 people!  GOD IS SO GOOD!!  
 
We do not know how much notice we will have to book flights, hotel, car, etc.  The director of the adoption program has informed us that we need to plan to stay at least 4-5 days, prayerfully that duration does not extend out.

Volunteer Training for Ted Cruz Campaign

Would you like to make a difference by working on Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign?

This Wednesday night Feb 3rd at 8:00 pm a representative from the Ted Cruz campaign will be at Community Bible Church training volunteers to make calls,  etc on behalf of his campaign.

If you have never worked on a political campaign before – it is an exciting and educational experience.

I have not seriously considered him before, but I am looking forward to hearing him preach at Community Bible Church on February 14th.

The training is OPEN to ANY interested community members and of course we hope that people will come to hear him teach on the 14th.
