Can you help? Co-director & other help needed for Presidential Physical Fitness
FYI
Remember that Doug Brannon and Mike Anthony were the authors of Bill H3478 – http://www.hslda.org/elert/archive/2013/02/20130207114745.asp. They are the ones who wanted to do away with the third option in South Carolina’s homeschooling law that caused a huge uproar earlier this year. I am sure that neither of these two candidates are on my list for the next SC Education Chief.
Doug Brannon stated, “The best way to improve education in South Carolina is not by tearing the system that we have down, but by supporting teachers and educators to do what they’re trained to do and to properly fund education.”
I think this clearly shows that he does not have the best interest of the children in mind, but in protecting a bureaucracy that needs to change. Whether you are a homeschooler or not, it should be plain that the establishment has become too cumbersome to work effectively. We need a radical overhaul.

Does your student want to play fall sports with a local school?
Because of the Amended Charter School Act Provision, homeschooled, charter and Governor School students may participate in extracurricular activities in their school district.
Not every student will want to take advantage of this program, but we are grateful that homeschooled students now have this opportunity. Many CBCCA students participated last year and had a great experience. We hope that our homeschooled students will be both a blessing and an asset to the local schools’ athletic programs.
Please click here to read how the law affects homeschoolers.
