Many of you know the Tkach family. They have faithfully served our church and especially our youth. Mary Ann has been walking through breast cancer and has just finished her chemo. She is now scheduled for surgery this Tuesday.

We would like to bless our dear friends with meals as she has surgery and recovers over the next few weeks.

Her appetite has improved and her diet isn’t restricted anymore because her chemo is done. There will be 5 adults to prepare for, because her sister-in-law will be here to help.

KIDS LIFE UPCOMING CLASS

As gearing up for the new school year begins, so does the planning for Kids’ Life!  What a great opportunity to serve the next generation and pass on an excitement for learning.  We are pleased to announce a class that will be offered for your middle school students during the Women’s Life sessions for the upcoming year.  The dynamic duo of Sue Cerrillo and Amy Fitzgerald will be teaming up once again to offer middle school students the lab portion of Apologia’s Physical Science.  The class will be limited to 20 students who will be using the Apologia Exploring Creation with Physical Science curriculum at home.   The labs will begin with Module 1 and students will discuss topics covered in their reading, participate in numerous lab experiments directly from the text, and complete lab assignments. The Student Notebook is highly recommended but not required for the class.  If you are interested in your child participating in this exciting science
lab for the upcoming school year, please contact Evelyn Owens.

~Must be using Apologia Exploring Creation with Physical Science

Kids Life Ideas

Get started collecting things for VBS 2015!

cardboard tubesPlease start saving the cardboard tubing from Birthday and Christmas wrapping paper rolls for VBS next year.  Even paper towel and Syran wrap tubing would work. The longer the tubing the better. :0) We will send out another announcement after Christmas as to where you can bring them to drop them off.

Chemistry Class Offered Thursdays Beginning Sept 4th

Apologia Chemistry – 2nd Edchemistry

The class will be offered Thursday Afternoons 4:20- 5:45 pm (approximately) tentatively set to begin 4 September.  It will be lecture based, focusing on theory, with some labs performed to reinforce the more challenging theories.

The cost will be $15.00 per month.

I will send out detailed information (Schedule, Student Outline, Syllabus if requested) about the class to those that respond.
