UNITY IN MARRIAGE

These 8 weeks of training on God’s plan for a fulfilling and fruitful marriage will start with sessions on marital conflict, the cause of it, and the rewarding results of choosing to love in the midst of difficulty.  The remainder of this series will logically shift our focus to the biblical basics of establishing oneness and companionship in every area of the marital relationship as we strive to reflect
God’s image as couples.  This training will enhance our ability to intensively disciple those in need of marital help, and at the same time, revitalize our own marriages.  A couple from a previous class testified “we could not believe how deeply the Holy Spirit spoke to our hearts about changes we needed to make…this has forever impacted our marriage”.

August 20         – The Cause of Conflict in Marriage
August 27         – Choosing Love in a Difficult Marriage
September 3     – Unity Through Biblical Communication
September 10   – Unity Through Role Fulfillment
September 17   – Unity Through Delighting in Differences
September 24   – Unity Through “Leaving and Cleaving”
October 1          – Unity Through Sexual Satisfaction
October 8          – Unity Through Financial Wisdom

8 ESSENTIALS IN CHILD TRAINING
The next four weeks will shift to the study of God’s plan in the role of parenting. Sessions will be designed to train those interested in parental counseling, but will also help those seeking biblical help in the midst of their own parenting challenges. We will be coached on how to apply eight essential principles in child training found in Ephesians 6:4 and will walk away with a plan that is both memorable and workable. Parents who have attended give testimony to how the Lord moved them to hope, repentance and practical application of God’s Word.  There is such a need today for parents to establish biblical goals for their children instead of materialistic, self-exalting goals of our world.  No matter what the challenge, there are answers in the Bible.  Don’t go it alone!  Come join with many others who are seeking help in the ministry of being a parent.
October 15       – Establishing Right Goals
                                  – Prayerful Dependence
        October 22       – Close Companionship
                                  – Godly Example
        October 29       – Structured Environment
                                  – Everyday Conversation
        November 5    – Consistent Consequences
                                  – Gentle Correction
DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE
Because of the sacredness of marriage and the seriousness of covenant vows, all biblical means should be exhausted to keep any marriage together.  These last two sessions will focus on the direction to pursue before divorce, acknowledging that even the best attempts at reconciling are not always successful.  During the final session, we will learn that there can be biblical healing and hope after divorce.
November 12     – Biblical Perspective of Divorce and Remarriage
                                     – Before You Say “I Quit”
November 19     – Rebuilding After Divorce
