Fourth of July @ Peaceful Way

peaceful way

Join the celebration at Peaceful Way Farm!  There will be fun for everyone including horseback rides, water slide, basketball, mechanical bull, bungee trampoline, climbing wall, kids’ play area and petting zoo, hay rides, photo booth, and more!

There is NO COST to attend this event!  However, we do ask that you bring drinks, a side dish, and a dessert to share.  We will provide concessions as well as hot dogs, fried chicken, and BBQ for dinner.  All homemade desserts can be entered into our dessert contest for a chance to win $50!

If you plan to participate in water activities, bring a towel and sunscreen.

****If you want to play in the lake on the water obstacles you must bring your own life vest.

You do not need a life vest for kayaking (provided), the waterslide, or the kiddie play area, however, life vests are REQUIRED for participation on the main water park.  Bring a well-fitting vest style life vest for your safety.  Also, to maintain a family atmosphere, we ask that ladies and young ladies wear a t-shirt and shorts over their swimsuit.

This event is sponsored by the Bostic Family and the Bostic Law Firm, PA.

Brigance Testing INFO SESSIONS

On Tuesday, June 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the café, and again at The CBCCA Book Blast on June 13th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Tracey Holmes and Sharon Strever will be on hand to discuss the Brigance Test. This is especially geared toward struggling or non-traditional learners and is a great alternative to assess students’ abilities and can help provide for clarity in discerning curriculum choices, goal setting, and school year planning. This test will be offered by CBCCA on a case by case basis in lieu of PASS or SAT tests.

Greetings from Homeschool Legacy!
We are going to miss coming to beautiful Beaufort this year. We so look forward to your convention. We are praying for Charlotte Cushman’s and Joyce Glover’s families  and hope your CHEC conference will resume in the future.

But, if you have not yet experienced the joy Once-a-Week Unit Studies can add to your school year, we invite you to view this short informational video:
We will be offering two conference specials this coming weekend in order to help save you even more money. We have an amazing new product we are excited to share with you. And we will also be doing three workshops – two will be Homeschooling on a Budget and another will be Ms. Frizzle or Ms. Fizzle.
