Upward Sports Registration Begins

SKATEFEST UPDATE

Just a friendly reminder that payment is due for the skating trip by Wednesday, December 11. We have about 50 skaters so far. If you haven’t done so, please sign up by letting me know how many skaters and non-skaters. I will be in the Atrium between services this Sunday and next. Our skating trip is on December 20, at 12:30 – 2:00, at the Savannah Civic Center. We have the whole rink reserved for our group. Please email coxfamsc@gmail.com for more information, or to sign up. The Fall/Winter Season runs Sept 23 – Feb 23 (21 weeks).
Sept 23 – 27 is a FREE Trial/Placement Week
SEPT 30th, 5:30 pm Parents Meeting.
The YMCA Tigershark swim team will start back September 23. I am looking forward to the upcoming season. Registration is ongoing and if you haven’t registered yet there is still time. We will be having a parent meeting September 30 at 5:30.
The first week will be a placement week. We will use this time to evaluate each child and make sure they are placed in the right group according to skill level.
We had a great summer season, finishing 2nd at the state swim meet! Our team continues to grow and improve every season and we look forward to having your swimmer contribute to our great team!
We have an exciting season ahead! We have a couple new coaches this season and I am excited for you to meet them. We will also be having our first intersquad meet. More details to come.
Swim team builds character, instills discipline, provides opportunities for leadership, enhances self – esteem, promotes physical fitness and teaches teamwork. The coaches sincerely hope that with dedication and a great work ethic your swimmer will fulfill their natural God given potential.

In case you didn’t know, CBCCA has 3 ways to earn money for our homeschooling group. The first is Box tops for Education where each Box Top is worth 10 cents. The more that you clip and turn in, the more $$$ we get.
The second is through Project A+ with Tyson Chicken labels. These are worth 24 cents each.
The third way is through Labels for Education, where we don’t earn cash but earn points to purchase things from their catalog.
Please clip and turn them in to the Resource room located in the Children’s building.
