Survey!
Dear CBCCA families,
I am conducting a little survey in regards to record keeping and and would love it if some of you who have found a good record keeping system or plan book would respond? Please copy and paste these questions in an e-mail with your answers to tammywaldron@gmail.com. Thank you so much and may God richly bless the remainder of your school year. It’s almost summer!!!! ~Tammy Waldron

CBCCA Fellowship Meeting
Don’t forget that Tuesday, April 1st at 7:00pm is the LAST CBCCA fellowship of this school year. The topic will focus on curriculum “show and tell”. Please bring what has worked well for your family this year and be prepared to share.
Also, Tracey Holmes and Sharon Strever will be on hand to discuss the Brigance Test. This is especially geared toward struggling or non-traditional learners and is a great alternative to access students abilities. This test will be offered by CBCCA on a case by case basis in lieu of PASS or SAT tests.
I will also be on hand to discuss transcripts, reports and other “paperwork” challenges you may have had this school year.
Look forward to seeing you there!
Claudia
PASS TESTS ARE IN!
Bird needed!
This may be a strange request, but does anyone have a bird that the 5-8th grade art class could “borrow” tomorrow? We will be doing oil pastels similar to a famous artist who loved to draw birds. We would just need to borrow him/her from 9:30-11:00. Please contact Ashlee Shotwell at 843-505-0062 or ashleeshot@gmail.com if you can help our artists out!
Parris Island Band at Kids Life Wednesday!
The Brass Band & Quintet of the PI Marine Band will be performing at KIDS LIFE tomorrow at 11:00am in the Fellowship Hall. The event is FREE and open to anyone who would like to attend.
April Meeting/Fellowship
This is an early reminder of the April meeting/fellowship scheduled for April 1st at 7:00pm. This meeting will be a curriculum “show and tell”. Bring your favorite curriculum and share with others why you love it and how it has worked for your family.
In addition if you have a struggling reader and/or child who is behind in math there is hope! Tracey Holmes and Sharon Strever will be on hand to “show & tell” the Brigance Test (http://www.curriculumassociates.com/products/detail.aspx?title=brigcibsii) which is a very helpful tool in accessing your child’s abilities.
This test will be made available in lieu of the PASS test on a case by case basis for those students with special academic needs.
Chautauqua History
Did you know that Clara Barton (battlefield nurse and founder of the American Red Cross) was so shy as a girl she barely spoke? Of that she spent much of the Civil War on Hilton Head Island? Or that she traveled across SC to identify the dead at Andersonville prison in Georgia? Or that at age 72, she spent 10 months in Beaufort, SC rebuilding the Lowcountry after the devastating 1893 South Sea Island hurricane?
Find out more at this Chautauqua discussion – because its not just history – it’s personal.
